Dacotah Foundation is a private non-profit organization established in 1970. Our agency is registered with the ND Secretary of State as a charitable organization.
Our agency is dedicated to aiding those less fortunate since 1970. Our early years were in development of programs and housing options for the community. Since 1985, we have added the provision of community-based services for persons with mental health and substance use for the ND State Department of Health and Human Services and more specifically West Central Human Service Center (WCHSC) and South East Human Center (SEHSC) since 2003.
We have played an active role in identifying unmet needs, piloting community-based programs and providing direct services to persons with mental illness and substance use.
What We Do
We provide residential services for SEHSC and WCHSC including short-term transitional, long-term permanent, and crisis stabilization services.
We provide the Dacotah Recovery Center, representative payee, medication monitoring and mentoring services.
Our staff are trained in behavioral health, nonviolent crisis intervention techniques, withdrawal management, CPR/First Aid, Medication Assistant I, recovery management, and motivational interviewing.
Our staff provide structure and support in the community and aid in learning coping skills that better support the person's well-being.
